Oh the blessings :)

So I thought I would just brag about my life for a minute. I know we aren't supposed to be prideful..... but grateful is ok right? :P

I am grateful for:
-My amazing family! I love them... They may not be your normal, run of the mill family but that is fine by me :) My mom and sister are definitely some of my best friends, my daddy never fails to give me good advice and make me laugh, and my baby brother is my favorite... We are going to live on a farm together someday ;)

-I am grateful for the Gospel and all the peace and joy it has brought into my life. Moving to Utah was the single
best thing that could have ever happened to me. I don't know where I would be in life and honestly I don't care to think about it. I am just grateful I am here now and know the things I do. I am grateful for the love I feel from my Father in Heaven and elder brother Jesus Christ.

-I am grateful for the temple and all that it signifies.

- I have some of the best friends in the whole entire world. I don't know how one person could get so lucky, but I know that if I ever needed anything there are so many people that would drop any and everything to be there for me. That amazes me. I definitely don't think I deserve it.

-I am blessed to have been able to experience so many things. I got to live in New York and completely fall in love with motherhood. I realize I am not a mom... yet... but I feel I got a small taste of the beauty that responsibility brings. It amazes me how close children are to the Lord and how much their sweet spirits strengthen our testimonies. I also got to go to Africa. I thought I was going there to serve them, but I will never be able to repay them for what they taught me. Not to mention made me grateful for electricity, running, drinkable, water, air conditioning, grocery stores full of food, cars... ect

-I am grateful for education. Living in the United States gives us many more opportunities than most of the world and I am grateful I go to BYU. I love being here. I love learning, and never want to stop.

-I am grateful for flowers, mountains, trees, rain, and blue skies. The earth is so beautiful and I wish I took more time out to enjoy it.

-I am grateful for the trials I have been able to overcome. They have made me stronger and more attentive to the spirit. Looking back I wouldn't take those experiences out of my life. As hard as they were they have taught me out to press on and even help others through similar situations. I truly believe everything happens for a reason. There are no coincidences.

Now for the sake of making to long of a post I just want to say that life usually terrifies me... so I make plans. I make plans so I feel like I am in control of whats happening in my life. But guess what? My plans always change. I am finally in a place in my life where I am ok with that, so I think I will jump. No longer play it safe.

I think this will be my new motto :)

"When you come to the edge of all the light you know, and are about to step off into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing one of two things will happen: There will be something solid to stand on or you will be taught how to fly." --Barbara J. Winter

P.S. Congratulations Kelly and Dahl!!! They are engaged :)
