So I have this friend, named Kyrie Ann Dangerfield. She is amazing. We had seminary together in high school... Junior year I believe. Any way during this year Kyr wrote in my scriptures on her favorite chapter in the Book of Mormon. The chapter is Alma 26. Every single time I get to this chapter and read Kyrie's cute little note I get excited to read it. I make sure to pay special attention, and with out fail every time I am in tears by the end of the chapter. Its beautiful and always comes at a time when I so desperately need to hear those words. Verse 12 especially gets me. Its says Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yeah behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever.
The gospel has taught me two very important things.
One: that I am nothing. Mosiah 2:25 Ye cannot say that ye are even as much as the dust of the earth; yet ye were created of the dust of the earth; but behold, it belongeth to him who created you. I remember going to EFY one summer and in one particular class the teacher stands up and tells us that if he teaches us only one thing that day he wants it to be that we are nothing. Think of the billions of people that have lived before us, that live with us now, and that have yet to live. Think of all the creations and living beings with in the world and in the universe. How small do you feel? We literally don't even make up a percentage of life as one human being.
The Second: I mean everything to Him. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. The greatest moment of my life was when I realized how my Father in Heaven knows who I am and LOVES me. I can remember the very moment, the very spot I was sitting when this knowledge hit me full force. The moment is indescribable, and the peace cannot/will not ever be imitated. I can feel His concern for me and I can fe
el his love lifting me through the hard times and smiling with me through the good times. I never want to feel what life would be like without Him.
On a completely unrelated note I MUST GO HERE:

So I think thats enough for my blog post today. Life is amazing and I am so happy! Seriously. I've learned that the quote, "Life is what happens while your making other plans," is SO true. Making plans are good. Goals are necessary in life, they are what motivates us, however everything doesn't have to be planned! Just live! Do the right things, strive to be better and you will be happy. Its true. I promise :)
