So who wants to hear a story about the greatest weekend I have ever experienced? (If you don't stop reading... but really why would you want to do that?)
Any way. Friday... apparently was not very memorable because I can't for the life of me remember what I did. I will use the fact that its 6:15 am to excuse my memory lapse. Legit. I know.
So Saturday Garren and I planned on going snowshoeing up the mountain to Cedar Breaks. I was a little weary (snow and I don't get along so much any more... and wild animals and I only get along in a Zoo) but mostly excited since I know Garren wouldn't let me die or anything. I woke up Saturday morning and started getting ready. Well at 9 Garren called me and told me to look outside. Oh there was basically a blizzard out there. Dramatized a little but it was snowing hard enough that we couldn't go. I was pretty bummed until Garren said we could watch ALL THREE Spiderman movies and drink hot chocolate. So thats what we did. I am sure you all know of my DEEP love for Spiderman. Also that morning Deniece made biscuits and gravy which is my favorite breakfast ever. After the second movie we went out side and made the best snowman in the world. His name is George. I love him. I don't ever want him to melt. I have pictures. But really I don't Garren and Deniece do. I will get some and add them later. Honest.
Sunday. Garren spoke in the thirteenth ward. I love hearing him speak. He is amazing and I am seriously one lucky girl. We visited my Grandma who recently had her second knee replacement. She is a trooper. I adore her! Then we went back to his house and basically chilled all day. Watched I am Legend. (Yeah super lazy weekend but we made up for it yesterday just you wait.)
Monday! So we finally got to go snowshoeing! We headed up the mountain at around noon. Not going to lie. I hated snowshoeing at first. I couldn't do it. I already am not the most coordinated person in the world so it was super awkward at first, but I eventually got the hang of it. We hiked 2 miles completely up hill. Not going to lie at one point I seriously considered laying down in the snow and telling him to go on with out me. He was incredibly patient and encouraging to me the entire time. I feel like I can do anything when he is supporting me. I always make fun of him for being impatient while driving or in other circumstances but when it comes to me he is the most patient man in the world. :) Any way getting to the top was MORE than worth it. The view was breath taking. One of the most beautiful views I have ever seen. We ate lunch and then I joked with Garren that I deserved a trophy or something for making it . He agreed and told me he had a prize. He made me close my eyes... and eventually, let me open them. When I did he was on one knee with the most beautiful ring and asked me to marry him. I think I said yes like a hundred times or something. I maybe cried a little bit. Thank heavens for sun glasses :P My hands were too cold to take my mittens off so I had to wait till we hiked back down the two miles to put my ring on. Talk about making me work for it! So worth it.
I love him so much, and can hardly wait to marry him for time and all eternity. I adore his family and am so excited to be apart of it. I really am amazingly blessed.
I promise to upload pictures tonight!
