Complete Nonsense

At time I feel like I'm still five
Running from the darkness and the monster in my closet
The happiness to laugh, to play, to just be alive
make up this simple composite

At other times its like I'm a hundred
The aches of the past and stress of the present
have my mind currently captured
and my mood less than pleasant

A compromise is needed
a middle ground if you will
I will know I've succeeded
When life has a bit of thrill

Some times I write though, my thoughts aren't coherent
Words furiously spilling from my fingers
A quality from birth, I believe its inherent
Funny enough the proof still lingers
