Overly Crowded Blog Post.

Lets start with Christmas Eve shall we? My family had planned on going to the Allred's, however, some unfortunate things occurred and Garren's parents were needed in New Mexico. So Garren came out to eat with my family instead :) Mmmm I ate such good food. I wish I was better at taking pictures. It really is a problem. That should be my New Years resolution. Then we went to Garren's and watched Julie and Julia. I love that movie, and now Garren is obsessed with getting the book, Mastering the Art of French Cooking. I am just glad he liked the movie.

Enter Christmas Morning. With the youngest kid in our family being a 6'3 17 year old boy, Christmas has lost its excitement.... Except now we have Lucas! Just when you think he can't get any cuter he does. Its uncanny. Being an aunt is the greatest thing I have been so far. We opened presents... then m sister and I decided to build a ginerbread house. Yeah it basically looked like commercial Christmas threw up on a pile of cookies. We are super talented. Later, my mom "accidently" broke it. I don't hold it against her. I wouldn't want to display that thing.

Then Garren came over! My parents got him a sweet little air hockey table that I creamed him at. Twice. Ok once, when we tried to use both pucks he one... but that hardly counts :P Any way then we opened each others presents. Basically he is the most thoughtful person ever. He is so good at listening to me. Over a month ago I had been at DaNae's and she had one of the framed magnet boards and I asked her where she got it. She said some one had made it for her. I complained a little about how people always tell me that... yet no one ever makes me one! Well Garren did and I love it. He also gave me a picture frame that had lots of different frames connect with pictures of us. Then we hung out with my family, ate good food and just chilled. It was the perfect Christmas.

Ugh... this is already too long and I still have to turn 22. Gross. Just kidding. Kind of. Yesterday was my birthday. Garren and I went to Church and then later he made me a delicious dinner. He really is a good cook. We were at his house, and he gave me the most beautiful necklace and earrings ever. It was pearls and rose gold. His listening skills are seriously amazing. I am the luckiest girl in the whole world. We went to Kendra's and had yummy treats and played with her nieces and nephews. Her newest niece Kate, who is only 2 weeks old was there, I loved holding her. I liked seeing Garren hold her too :)

Finally Garren and I went to his house and ate some ice cream and watched a couple episdoes of How I Met Your Mother and the Christmas episode of Glee. I think he suffered through Glee just for me... ha I love it.

Now the amazing weekend is over and because of our lovely, if not ironic, work schedules we wont see each other till Friday. Good thing we live in the same place :P

I just want to say that I am so grateful for the Christmas season. There is nothing like it to bring families close together and to help us realize how much we truly have. I thought a lot about my kids in Africa, like I usually do. I wish I could give them more, but it does make me realize that I need to do more with what I have been given. If that makes sense. I am so grateful for the birth of our Saviour and the exemplary life he lead and ultimately gave for us. I hope you all had and amazing Christmas!
