Africa Changes :)

So originally we were set to work at the Missahoe Children's Home in Kapando Village, Ghana. Caroline, the person in charge of Village Volunteers , emailed Mara, Kendra and me the other day to see if we were willing to change to the Ryvanz-Mia Orphanage (also in Kapando Village). They get far less volunteers than Missahoe does and are in need of our help. Of course we said yes! We will also get the opportunity to teach at the primary school the children attend. I am so exited. 6 weeks from today I go to Africa. There is a video below from a past volunteer who worked with the kids at Ryvanz-Mia orphange. I can already tell leaving these kids will be torture. I already love them. I am so excited to attempt to make a difference in their lives, although I am sure they will be teaching me much more than I could ever teach them.

Also if you would like more information on the actual orphange Click Here or information on what we will be doing Click Here

Tomorrow Kendra, Mara, and I get our yellow fever vaccination, figure out preventive malaria medication, and apply for our visa's. Wish me luck... So NOT a fan of shots.
