I told you so.

So I have been the world's worst blogger recently. Why? Well because life is crazy. Let me just tell you crazy seems to = amazing these days :) I look back at the last 5 years of my life and just smile at the things that got me to this point.

I never thought I would fall in love with my best friend. But I have. My parents, friends... a lot of people say "I told you so, we always knew you would date him." I spent 5 years denying this. The thing is even though they get to say I told you so, I am the one that is ridiculously happy. So I guess its a win win situation ha ha

I am a pretty private person about all of this... so basically thats all your going to get. Hence why I haven't blogged in so long. :P But hey its something right? Just know Garren is the best :) I think this picture is cool... we should probably take more :P


Last night M. Russell Ballard spoke at the CES Fireside. It was very uplifting. He shared this poem:

A mighty wind blew night and day

It stole the oak tree's leaves away

Then snapped its boughs and pulled its bark

Until the oak was tired and stark

But still the oak tree held its ground

While other trees fell all around

The weary wind gave up and spoke.

How can you still be standing Oak?

The oak tree said, I know that you

Can break each branch of mine in two

Carry every leaf away

Shake my limbs, and make me sway

But I have roots stretched in the earth

Growing stronger since my birth

You'll never touch them, for you see

They are the deepest part of me

Until today, I wasn't sure

Of just how much I could endure

But now I've found, with thanks to you

I'm stronger than I ever knew

Simple and beautiful :) It amazes me the strength we all have in us. The strength we have through the love of our Father in Heaven. To doubt your ability to get through trials is doubting His love and concern for you. He will not put a mountain before you that you can't climb. He will be the rope. You just have to let him :)
