Saved.

So last week Garren took me to see Tangled. (He remembered how badly I wanted to see it. :) Cute right?) Any way it's quite possibly my new favorite princess movie (with the exception of Beauty and the Beast... thats not even a contest). During the movie we commented on how often Rapunzel was saving Flynn (the "prince"), upon further consideration we realized that in all of the princess movies it is, in fact, the princess who is saving the prince. Forget the "damsel in distress" business! Think about it:
Beauty and the Beast: Belle saves the Beast first from himself and his selfish views of life, and Second from Gaston/falling off the roof.
The Little Mermaid: Ariel saves Eric from the Ursula
Aladdin: Jasmin saves Aladdin from the streets and teaches him that loves is "blind".

There are countless examples. However, just now while writing this, I realized I am wrong. One doesn't save the other, they in turn save each other. The beast saves Belle from her loneliness, Eric saves Ariel from the sea, and Aladdin saves Jasmin from feeling captive. Love teaches them all great things, mainly about being selfless and caring. Love eliminates fear, it makes us brave and strong. It gives us something beautiful to believe in. Love is passionate, intense, corny (sort of like this post :P) and priceless. There are all kinds of love. The love between a parent and child, between best friends, between spouses, and the greatest love of all, the love of our Father in Heaven.

In conclusion you should take two things from this post.
1. See Tangled. Its adorable and more than worth it.
2. I love, love. Its amazing.

P.S. In other HEART WRENCHING news Disney isn't going to be making any more Disney movies. Apparently boys think they are "icky" and girls are "too cool" to want to be princesses. Are you kidding me? I am nearly 22 years old and STILL want to be a princess. This depresses me greatly. For more information on this tragedy click here.
