Opinion?

So this weekend I learned how to do two new things:

First I am now a pro Golfer. Seriously. Ok not really. Let me tell you a little story. I have been "golfing" one other time. Like 4 years ago in high school with Garren and Trevor. We went to the practice range where I attempted to hit the ball. Never once did I hit it.... and my lovely friends just laughed at me.... Rude right? Ha Any way Saturday Jessica, Colby, Garren and I took my dad to the driving range for the first time since he got his prosthetic foot. He did awesome! Garren is a great teacher I hit the ball multiple times, watch out Tiger Woods!

Then Saturday I shot a gun for the first time. I will be honest I am not big on guns.... however it was more fun than I thought it would be and I will definitely be doing it again. This spurred a conversation between Garren and I on what is a good age for a child to start shooting. So I am going to ask you... what is a proper age to start learning how to shoot? I won't tell you what either of us think... just give me your opinion, I really am interested in what every one thinks. Maybe I am crazy for what I think...? Who knows.

Basically my weekend was awesome. Its getting harder and harder to come back to Provo... but I love it!!! I am incredibly blessed. I love life and I am happy!

I think 10 is a good age....

I don't think it's necessarily the age that matters, as long as you start educating your kids correctly about how to use guns, when it's appropriate to use them and when it's not. They should know that we don't "play" with them.

I think it's okay for kids to start learning how to shoot when they're about 9 or 10. just as long as they are like all supervised and stuff, and they act mature. it'll be different depending on the kids.

Ha ha I am really surprised at the ages here! Maybe it's a Canadian thing...but a mature and responsible 16 year old in a controlled environment is just about the only way a child of mine will be handling a gun. :P
